California Highway Patrol Commissioner Mike Brown
California Highway Patrol Commissioner Mike Brown visited KUSI on October 6, 2006 to let us
know about the CHP's efforts to recruit 240 new officers and 150 dispatchers. A new officer will earn
over $60,000 a year, before overtime.
Commissioner Brown is the top ranked person in the CHP. In 1989, he was my boss at the San
Diego area CHP office. He was a Captain then. I was an officer.
