Joey Pearson
Singer, songwriter Joey Pearson has visited KUSI twice.
Friday, July 13, 2007 -- Fifteen-year-old Joey Pearson is a powerful young singer
with an authentic voice. He started performing at the age of 8 and has since
developed a voice of his own, inspired by legendary voices of classic soul and
R&B. His inspirations include Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Curtis Mayfield and
Ray Charles.
Joey Pearson has fans all over the world and right now he lives near San Diego.
He is not only a singer and performer; he's also a songwriter and musician. He
was here in the studio this morning to perform his original music.
He was 14 years old when he visited the KUSI studios
on June 9, 2006. He has been playing the piano for only a little over two years. He also sings
quite well. Additionally, he writes a lot of his own songs. You will be hearing from this
talented, young man.
