Baseball Hall Of Famer Dave Winfield
Baseball Hall Of Famer Dave Winfield visited KUSI on May 5, 2006 to talk about a special
program to honor members of the old Negro League in Baseball. This event will honor John
Jordan "Buck" O’Neil, Don Newcombe, "Sweet" Lou Johnson, Sharon Robinson, the daughter of
Jackie Robinson and others.
On Wednesday, April 4, 2007, Dave Winfield returned to talk about his new book. Winfield's
new book is called, "Dropping The Ball." In the book, he presents a plan of action for
saving the game of baseball from steroid scandals, labor strife and self-centered
superstars. He examines the game from every perspective, offering ideas and solutions for
diversifying front offices, marketing the game and developing community-based programs.
