Hey, I made it to Guatemala! The locals made that "Gee, what things tourists will take pictures of" kind of shrug when I took this. When I told them it was to help explain things on my internet site, they made the same shrug and said, "Internet?"

From my hotel in Flores, Guatemala.

The same place just before the rain storm hit. It was as if someone unzipped the clouds. Literally, one minute it was dry, the next it was a downpour.

Tikal!

Stele 22 and Alter 10 were built by King Yax Nuun Ayiin II (Ruler C, Chitam or Yax Ain II) and are dated around 771 A.D.
