Happy Holidays!

Greetings,
I usually try not to make too many assumptions about people I do not
know well. However, I would assume most of you celebrate or participate
in Christmas. For those of you who do, I wish you a most wonderful
holiday, be it religious or just in the "spirit of the season." One of
the things I enjoy about the season is the music. Many moons ago (I use
that phrase all the time without any Indian reference), I was a fairly
accomplished singer. I sang everything from barbershop quartet, to rock
and roll, to show tunes, to sacred music. For six months, I even sang
with the Houston Symphony. This is one area where I do brag just a bit.
In any case, I love to sing and there are lots of good tunes this time
of year. My voice is not as good as it once was, but you will often hear
me humming or singing softly this time of year.
The New Year's holiday is also come up soon. May this coming year find
new adventures for you. May you efforts be successful, and your
adversities be overcome.
One of the best gifts you can give your loved ones is to be here when
the holidays are over. So, if parties are in your plans, please do not
drink and drive. Many of you know my wife's tragic story. It should
serve as a reminder to get plenty of rest before long trips. And
finally, watch out for the other person out there. Drive, walk and ride
defensively. I want you all to be here for my next newsletter.
Again, happy holidays and a great New Year.
Phil
