Tikal

Temple III is approximately 180 feet high and might have been built around 810 A.D.

This young man is practicing the ancient Maya ritual of leaf blowing the jungle floor. It helps to keep things neat.

Central Acropolis
It is approximately 700 feet long and covers four acres.

Great Jaguar Claw's Palace in the Central Acropolis.

Stele 21, in front of the Temple of Inscriptions. It lists King Yik'in Chan K'awiil (Sun Sky Rain) ascent to the Tikal throne in 734.

The Temple of Inscriptions. The inscriptions have deteriorated almost to the point of being unreadable.
It was believed to be built around 766 A.D.
